I called several places and it would be a week or more to get my car in. I was ready to give up when i googled one more time and thats when i found Werners!! When I called Werner's I got my car in the next day. Was going to do a tranny flush but they told me a drain/fill was the best option since ive not had any tranny work done. Then they checked my oil and found it low so they topped it off for me and told me to check it every couple weeks. After all of this I knew right away they were honest. Thats something I've never had when I take my car in to a shop. I appreciate the honesty so very much!! I give Werners a 10/10!!! I will be back!!!👍👍

So glad that I found Werners! Would love to give them 6 stars if I could. Last week, I had a cat under the hood when I started my car. Cat was fine, but car showed error about fan not starting immediately. Local garage checked out car and cleared fan error and accidentally cleared error on pcv. They suggested I take it to the dealership service center as that is a problem with Jettas. I have an older car and dread going to the dealership service center and more than once looked up Werners. I was impressed with their 5 star rating and glowing reviews. Took a chance and so glad I did!! Called Chris and he could get me in that week. All the people at Werners are friendly and put you at ease. They ran a complete diagnostic on my car and replaced the pcv all within 90 minutes. While waiting for the part, was asking Chris about the Rolls Royce on his website. Chris is a guy who genuinely loves cars and his work. Chris was enthusiastic to show me pictures of his interesting past jobs. He understands that for some, our cars are our babies. I feel very comfortable leaving my VW baby in Werners hands. Their professionalism and care is something rare to find. Definitely worth their 5 star rating.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Full disclosure, I work at a “big box” corporate dealership in the Des Moines area and let me tell you, you need to forget all the preconceived notions you may have about a repair shop when you come to Werner’s. Communication is excellent, personalized, and understandable. Pricing is more than fair, especially given the high quality of work they perform. I am so relieved to have found a place that not only takes care of my prized Jaguar, but also knows its nuances and exactly how to service it. I brought it in for an electrical concern and even though the car seemed to have fixed itself, I asked for an inspection and they gave me a list of concerns and the cost of each individual repair. I now have fresh control arms and the car drives beautifully. Chris even fixed an exhaust rattle that’s been driving me insane for years at no extra charge! Chris and Brandy, I can’t thank you enough! I will definitely be back! If you have a Jaguar, Land Rover, Bentley, Aston Martin, Ferrari, etc. you owe it to yourself and your car to make the drive to Werner’s Elite Auto in Indianola.

Great people! Took my 04 Miata in for a water pump, timing belt, and a few other items. They had it done on time and to the penny they quoted me. Additional work suggested but no pushy sale pitch. Highly reccomend!

I took my car in for a pre purchase inspection. They were closing in 30 minutes but still took me in as same day appointment. The waiting room was clean filled with drinks & snacks as wells as free wifi. I felt welcomed the moment I stepped into there. You can’t find many auto shops in the Des Moines metro with service like Werner’s. This place deserves all the 5 stars, I would give it a 10 if I would! Price was extremely fair and reasonable. 10/10

Excellent experience! After the wheel alignment was complete, the owner test drove my car to make sure the steering wheel was straight and that it drove perfect. Afterward, he explained exactly what was done and why it was needed. The team is very friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Pricing is excellent, too.

I've been coming ever since I bought my bug; I never thought of anywhere else! The whole family is a delight to talk to, even when I ask a million questions just because I'm curious. Price is always fair and the services are pretty quick! As much as I wish I didn't have to get my car serviced so often I'm glad that it's in safe hands!

Found Werner's to be a FANTASTIC alternative to some of the local dealerships for maintenance (oil change!) at a more pocket friendly price and without investing a significant part of my day waiting for them to finish. They'll have my business for both of our Audi's. Highly recommend.

They are great with getting you in right away. My go-to for oil changes and anything else. They do a great job and get the job done! I always know my car will leave the shop with the problem fixed!

Shops like Werner’s Elite Auto are getting rare. It’s independent, owner-operated, and you can feel that family-business pride right away. They didn’t hesitate to take on my older Land Rover (which is saying a lot), and everything was upfront—fair pricing, no surprises, and excellent communication the whole way through. If you’re tired of big chain shops and want somewhere that actually cares, this place is absolutely worth the drive.

Im not one to write reviews, but Werner’s has been so over the top i can’t resist. Long story short, Werners Elite Automotive, is EXACTLY where you want your car to go. Make the trip to them, no matter how far you are. They not only do quick, amazing, work, but their customer service is the best you’ll ever find. Not only do they stand behind their quality work, but they make sure you arent down a vehicle for a long time. I also feel that their prices are quite reasonable especially with the care that goes into your car and the quality of work done. You can pay more somewhere else but i promise you, the work wont be done as well, wont last as long, AND a lot of places dont stand behind their warranty like Werner’s. Now to the long story as to WHY id give Werner’s a 12/10. Im quite picky with where my car goes, shes my baby, as i imagine a lot of people are. After a lot of research i got super lucky finding Werner’s, not only was i sold with the reviews, but the reviews touched on so many aspects. Especially the fact they dont try to sell you on services you dont need, and as a woman it is scary going to a shop feeling you’d be taken advantage of because you dont know much about cars and all you know is you need service or something isnt working. I originally had an appointment set up to have an ignition issue looked at and like clockwork, my car ended up with an epc and check engine light. Horrifyingly, my car shut off at the end of my driveway and 2 days later i was set to come to Werner’s. After a scary 20 minute drive we finally made it, my car was diagnosed with a bad timing belt, and Brandy was extremely thorough explaining the cost and everything that needed to be done. My jetta needed a timing belt, water pump, cam position sensor, seals (and i think tensioners and pulleys were done but im not 100% sure), and in 2 days, my car was done! We went and picked my car up and everything was fantastic, BUT i made it back to the south side to get a car wash (they also gave a coupon for a complimentary wash), and my car started misfiring, BAD. I got my car home and called Werner’s back, Brandy was patient, calm, and explained exactly what to do to make sure i would be back on the road asap. Indeed, i was having a misfire, my spark plug wire on cylinder 2 wasnt plugged in all the way, but after plugging it in and clearing the code, we were still misfiring. Shortly after Brandy had ordered a tow truck to pick my car up and have my car looked at again at the shop. A few minutes after that she had messaged me saying a technician would like to come to where i am. Chris drove 30 minutes to come to where i was, diagnose what was going on, and fixed the issue. He came, was extremely knowledgeable and changed my spark plug wire with no extra charge. THIS WAS NOT THEIR FAULT, he let me know when we changed my spark plug wires last year, the one on cylinder 2 wasnt pushed in all the way and it backed itself out and has been actively misfiring for a long time. THIS stuck out to me more than anything, the owner took time out of his day to fix an issue they didnt even cause just so their customer was happy and wasnt down a car for the long weekend. Now my car drives beautifully, the service was definitely WAY overdue, i cant believe i drove my car for so long with the timing belt being off. We couldve chit chatted all day, and truly we’ll have to take Chris up on coming to the shop and just having a coffee and talking. I trust no other shop more than Werner’s and i cannot recommend them more. Ive already told so much of my family about them and i recommend them 10 times over. Ive neglected service on my car because i didnt want to go back to the dealership, but i will DEFINITELY be back if anything else needs work, basic maintenance, or just to stop by and say hi. I absolutely LOVE Werner’s and i know anyone who takes their car there will. Werners is the best around, even if you arent in town!

Had a rough go with an electrical issue on my nissan van. After a year of trying to figure it out and multiple shops and a bunch of money Werners was able to sort it out for me within a few days without having to replace expensive modules. I highly recommend their service!

Really easy to work with. Communicated well. Thorough in giving my car a check up. She drives much better and my gas mileage has been better since the tine up. We’ll continue to use Werner’s for our Audi service.

I wish I could give 10 stars. Outstanding customer service, transparent communication and they went above and beyond to make the price as affordable as possible. I never felt pressured or like I was being sold anything my car didn’t need. Chris and his team were wonderful and after they saved the day by squeezing me in last minute to perform a repair, they saved me from future issues with incredibly affordable options… I will never take my Lexus anywhere else!

Very transparent and timely about all repairs hadn’t had my vehicle in months and was worried sick about all the things wrong with it was reassured and wasn’t shamed by anyone there. I called a lot about all the things wrong and to check up on vehicle and they were super kind and very informative in all these my car. Great pricing on all the work and even was able to score some extra work on the vehicle with free labor which was amazing. Will definitely come back for all my car needs and refer any and all to them for auto work!❤️

Found recently through a recommendation. They did great with getting our VW scheduled quickly and at a very reasonable price. If you need an import looked at, give them a try.

My Volkswagen was having major issues so I had it towed to Werner's. Brandy, Chris and the rest of their crew were AMAZING! They diagnosed the issues and were very honest with my options which I appreciated. Although I wasn't able to afford everything they recommended, they were able to get me up, running and back on the road! 100/100 would ABSOLUTELY recommend them to anyone who needs work done!

I’ve been taking my son’s VW’s to Werner’s, since finding them, a couple of years ago. Great, friendly service, and they always get me in quickly. Werner’s is also very good about looking out for possible future repairs, given the age of our vehicles. Would highly recommend Werner’s
